EcoVadis Submission Prep with Claude, and Making the Workflow Reusable
By the end of this session you can
- Map a document pile to activated criteria at scale, with rejection risk flagged per document
- Produce a PAR gap analysis and a prioritised remediation plan
- Draft a missing policy that meets EcoVadis evidence standards, then critique it as an analyst would
- Package the whole workflow so the next assessment takes hours rather than weeks
Three-hour agenda
| 00:00–00:15 | Confidentiality, sharpened | The most sensitive material in the course: HR records, audit findings, supplier contracts, grievance logs. What must be redacted, what must never be uploaded, how to work with a redacted set. |
| 00:15–00:55 | Live build 1 — evidence mapping | Upload the pile. Produce a criterion-by-criterion evidence matrix: document, page, PAR pillar, sufficiency, rejection risk and reason. Watch it flag the expired certificate, the undated policy and the group-level document used for a site claim. |
| 00:55–01:25 | Live build 2 — PAR gap analysis | What is missing at policy, action and results level per criterion. A ranked remediation list with effort and expected score impact. |
| 01:25–01:35 | Break | |
| 01:35–02:10 | Live build 3 — drafting to evidence standard | Generate a missing policy that meets the bar: scope, targets, ownership, review cycle, effective date, approval block. Then have Claude critique it as an EcoVadis analyst, and redraft. |
| 02:10–02:40 | Making it reusable | A Project template and a written SOP a colleague can run next year. Where connectors fit when evidence lives in a document system. A clever session vs an institutional capability. |
| 02:40–03:00 | Governance | Who signs off. Version control and the audit file. What you say when a buyer or auditor asks how the submission was prepared. |
Claude capabilities taught
- Multi-document evidence mapping with per-item risk flags
- Judgement-style outputs: sufficiency assessments with stated reasoning
- Generate-then-critique-then-redraft as a standard pattern
- Project templates and written skills for institutional reuse
- Connectors and integrations for evidence in a document system
- Governance: sign-off, version control and the prompt-and-output audit log
Exercise
Class critique of the generated policy against the evidence standards taught in Week 5: would it be accepted, and what exactly would an analyst mark down?
